My name is Jessica Valentine-Howard
Hello, my name is Jessica Valentine-Howard and I am a coffee drinking, Jesus loving, film obsessed, hard working individual with big plans.
Heres a short bit about my education: I have overcome a lot of negative expectation during my education, I was told by many teachers that I would have to resit year 9 and catch up with the work I had missed. This was because during year 9 I became ill with glandular fever and missed half a term of school and was reduced to having to be sat in a wheelchair whenever I wanted to move around the hospital, I became very immobile and once I was back at school, I was only able to attend 2 hours every other day.
This out a strain on me and my mental and physical health, however, with support of the school and my parents, I chose my GCSE options early and only attended the lessons I thought would be beneficial to my career at the time.
Even at the age of 13 I knew I wanted to work in film or photography, in the face of adversity I pushed through and motivated myself to achieve the following grades:
Maths: D (Currently Resitting)
English: B
Science: D
History: B
German: C
Business B-TEC: PASS
Product Design: B
Religious Education: C
Even with further health complications I have been able to study 3 and 1/2 Subjects at A-level. I am currently studying Media Studies, Business, English Literature and finally, Government and politics.
